A Festive Night and One Less Dinner to Cook

One of our favorite December traditions, good food, friends, Santa for the kids, and a night off from cooking. A sweet reminder of how quickly Christmas arrives and how grateful…

My husband is a Freemason, and tonight is their annual Christmas party… something we look forward to every year. It’s one of those evenings that just feels special from start to finish.

Santa comes to visit and brings each of the kids a gift, there’s a big pasta dinner for all the Masons and their families, and plenty of time to laugh, play games, and catch up with friends. It’s a wonderful, cozy night that always reminds me how grateful I am for community.

And let’s be honest…the fact that I don’t have to cook dinner tonight definitely earns some bonus points.

I can hardly believe it’s already the 16th. Christmas feels like it’s racing toward us this year. Thankfully, we’ve already finished our shopping. Now all that’s left is wrapping the gifts and tucking them under the tree, letting the anticipation quietly build.

Tonight we’ll soak in the laughter, the twinkle of Christmas, and the gift of being together. One of those small, sweet moments I’ll hold onto.

With love,
Abby
