Happy New Year, friends!
I hope everyone had a beautiful holiday season. Ours was full and joyful — and if I’m being honest, I’m also very ready to be done and settle back into normal, everyday life again. There’s something so comforting about the quiet that comes after the holidays.
One exciting bit of Christmas cheer around here: I received a new grill/smoker! Scott and I have been spending some time together learning how to use it, and I already know I’m going to have far too much fun experimenting with all the new recipes this opens up. I’m especially excited to try smoked sweet potatoes. Doesn’t that sound wonderful? A warm, smoky sweet potato with a little butter and a drizzle of maple syrup — simple, cozy, and perfect.
During our winter break, I also found myself working on a small homeschooling project that’s been on my heart for a while. I created a gentle homeschooling guide focused on building a daily rhythm — something peaceful, flexible, and realistic for real family life. I’ve listed it on Etsy for anyone who might find it helpful.

As we step into this new year, I’m feeling grateful for slower days, shared projects, and the chance to begin again without rushing. Here’s to a year of simple joys, cozy routines, and finding beauty in the ordinary.
With love,
Abby
